Prepara's Herb Savor Pod is the smaller version of the beloved Prepara Herb Savor. These pods are designed to prolong the life of fresh cut herbs for up to three weeks. To use, remove the clear front cover by pressing gently on both sides. Place your clean, fresh herbs in the pod with stems pointing down. Replace the clear front cover, and pull out the green stopper at the base of the pod. Fill the pod with fresh water through the stopper opening, and replace the stopper. You can store your Prepara Herb Savor Pods neatly inside a refrigerator door. The herbs will draw the water up through their stems and stay fresh thanks to the water at the base of the pod. For best results, change and refresh the water on a regular basis. This set includes three Herb Savor Pods, so you can keep flavorful herbs stored separately. Also great for asparagus. BPA free, top rack dishwasher safe.

IMPOSSIBLE to open
The herb keepers are probably the hardest things to open on the face of the earth. You're supposed to squeeze at the sides (very specific spot) and sort of slide up and out... Yeah extremely difficult. Neither my husband or I could really do it very well. We got it opened 1x, put the basil in and it looked great but once I tried to open it again, it was impossible. I actually had to smash it to get it open.

Herb saver pod
The pod works great--herbs do last for weeks in the refrigerator. It keeps them really fresh, too, if you remember to change the water every couple of days. However, it is difficult to open, and really big bunches of herbs don't fit.
Great little products
I got my herb savor pods a few months ago and I love them! they are so sleek looking, it's a shame they are in the fridge so much. I figured out that if you squeeze the white plastic part near the bottom of the clear part it pops open easily! Though I saw from a Prepara comment that they fixed it. I also had trouble with basil - it's really finicky but rosemary, cilantro, dill, oregano, sage, asparagus - they all last a LOT longer in here than in the package or bag they came in.
